Samsung WF210ANW washer, March 13, 2011

Purchased this locally, but sharing this review in case it is useful to anyone else. Even when I don’t buy item on Amazon, I always appreciate the information that others share as I try to make purchase decisions.

This unit replaces a 12-y.o Whirlpool top-loader, which had some mechanical difficulties that made for loud operation. Right up front, the sound level is an amazing improvement.

Design: Attractive, clean lines, clear display. I like the front-load configuration, with some qualifiers. First, without the separate pedestal, you need to lean down, squat, or kneel to see deeply into the drum. Not bad, but a change from top-loader. Second, as dallas7 already noted, the access panel to clean the filter is near the floor, so without the pedestal, there will not be a lot of space for a pan under the drain hose. A fine inexpensive washer, December 19, 2010

My circa mid-70s top load Maytag which had never seen a repair call began crashing during the spin cycle; apparently what keeps the tub stabilized had worn beyond tolerances or whatever sensed imbalance was going bad. Besides, its 1100 kWh thirst & reliance on about 40 gallons of hot or warm water for a clean wash was starting to work on my green guilt.

After about a month of research, a local big-box store killer sale price with a 24 month no interest payoff got me this new Samsung WF210 three months ago. At 130 kWh & sipping just a few gallons of cold water I might expect it to pay for itself in short order – relative to appliance ownership timelines, of course.

Not paying any attention to this class of appliance for so long, I was quite surprised by the technology. They’re not just tubs of sloshing water anymore. Compared to the three push buttons & timer dial of the Maytag, the Samsung’s cycle options seem endless. I am amazed that my dirtiest…

I am so happy with my purchase!, July 5, 2011

This washer is amazing! I purchased the washer & matching dryer after my very old washer died. I’ve owned this washer for 8 months & I’ve found many advantages… The clothes are just as clean as if they were washed in a top loading washer. I’m notice a significant decrease in my energy costs. I can add addition items during a wash unlike some front loaders. I hate doing laundry, but I absolutly love my washer! The washer does get a smell after a month from buildup of particals & mold. I just make it a monthly chore to run tide or clorox wahing maching cleaner in an empty wash. It keeps my clothes smelling fresh. I never write reviews, but this product definetly deserves one!
